The modern era of work is characterised by disruption and frequent change, and this context requires that leaders constantly develop new ways to think and lead.

In this program, we develop EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE in Leaders.

The capability to adapt and respond effectively by first understanding ourselves - our thoughts, feelings and actions - and then, through this understanding, building the capacity to support those around us more effectively.

With this knowledge and a toolkit of simple and actionable frameworks, leaders will develop the capabilities to lead effectively in a constantly changing environment.


Course Outcomes

  • Develop a clear understanding of their leadership style and how their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviours influence the outcomes they are trying to achieve.

  • Learn how to build a strong foundation of trust within their teams by recognising how trust is built and broken, and apply this knowledge to improve their relationships at work.

  • Gain the skills to coach their teams effectively, using a structured framework, enabling them to guide team members through individual challenges and development conversations.

  • Explore their attitudes towards change, and practice planning and communicating a change initiative.

  • Learn how people process information and practice having a difficult conversation using a structured framework.

  • This module introduces an emotional intelligence model, helping leaders manage their emotions, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop empowering ones to enhance their leadership. Over time, they build the capacity to support their teams through this practice.

  • This module focuses on building and maintaining trust within teams. Leaders explore how trust is created and broken, reflecting on their own relationships and what influences trust. They also review key research on successful relationships and apply those insights to foster high-performing teams.

  • This module helps leaders understand how they process information and make meaning in interactions. It introduces a model of listening to better understand both rational and emotional needs, and equips leaders to have courageous conversations using a structured framework.

  • This module helps leaders understand the core elements of coaching and how it differs from other conversation types. It explores common pitfalls, and reviews research on effective coaching. Leaders will practice using the GROW coaching model to create space for team development.

  • This module helps leaders understand the context and value of change in driving continuous improvement. It explores how they personally respond to change and how their teams might react. Leaders will learn strategies to influence change positively.
